The Mission Statement of Solomon Schechter Academy

We believe that Jewish children are entitled to a Jewish education. We build our student's Jewish identities and provide the guidance they need to become responsible citizens in the Jewish and secular communities.

Our Solomon Schechter offers a bilingual education that emphasizes individualized instruction by certified teachers. Our General Studies and Judaic curricula include music, art, physical education, health, and computer science programs. Class sizes of 12 to 15 students allow children to develop both academically and socially. We offer after school activities, field trips, social-action outreach, and tz'dakah programs to supplement our accelerated curriculum

In Case of Inclement Weather

In case of delay openings and school closings please tune in to 101.5 F.M. or 94.3 F.M. or 92.7 F.M.

Our PTA also initiates an early morning phone chain to class mothers who in turn will call the families to make certain that everyone is informed. Information on school closings or delays may also be found on our school website.
