PTA and PTA Programs
The PTA at Solomon Schechter Academy is a very important part of school life. Only with the support of the PTA can our children be provided with the necessities that are not allocated in the school budget, including an in-school lunch program and a challah fundraiser that funds the Shabbat challah for the students. School lunches includes two pizza days, and a ziti day.
Look for your PTA package on the first day of school to get all your forms and handbook for this school year.
The cost is minimal to join, and the benefits are endless...PLEASE GET INVOLVED!

PTA Fundraising
The PTA conducts ongoing as well as special fundraisers. Ongoing fundraisers are available all year round. Special fundraisers are generally offered for a limited time.
Ongoing Fundraisers
PTA Lunch Programs
The PTA offers a pizza lunch on Tuesdays and Thursdays and a ziti lunch on Wednesdays. All lunches are served by PTA members on a volunteer basis. Volunteers are always welcomed warmly.
Participation is on a monthly basis. If you would like your child to participate in any or all of the PTA lunch programs simply fill out the lunch form (which your child will bring home) before the beginning of the month and send it in with your check payable to The Solomon Schechter Academy PTA via Kiddie Mail.
The Challah Program
The PTA offers a Challah for Shabbat program. You can choose how often, and what kind of challah you would like. It is sent home with your child, and this program provides the kids with Shabbat challah at school. Just fill out the challah order form (which your child can bring home) and send it in via Kiddie Mail to Anne Navarro's attention. Don't forget your check made payable to The Solomon Schechter Academy PTA.
